Message Board Software for Webcatalog
Wed 02-08-2012Current Version: v1.40

Beta available, new version soon August 21, 2002
Beta 2 of v1.40L is available for download. Full release available soon. Main difference with "L" is that all strings have now been removed to a loc token file located under the languages directory. Other important changes:
  • Improved cookie support (there were sporadic problems with cookies being set...that should now be fixed)
  • Updated search results. (there were some problems with the data displayed in search results. That's been fixed)
  • Updated win2k support. (there's a webcat 3 specific bug that doesn't let Win2K work with variables called [_username] - i've removed the need for that variable in the code)
This is an interim release. Expect v1.5 out with a bunch of new features before year's end.

Code Complete!!! December 10, 2000
Yesterday, The Pubb v1.40 reached code complete status. It has completed programming and testing. Localization did not make the cut off, but we've added a TON of other features to compensate (user settable timezone, author images and more). Fully expect more updates in the next two weeks (now that we're on a role with this thing). For a list of the new features in development (not all necessarily in the same release) for the near future, click here.

Now, the part you all care about: release. The Pubb v1.40 FULL install, will be available sometime tonight. Remaining items are the skinning of some new pages, and final touches on the new documentation (it should be a lot better, we're spending a decent amount of time on this). For people that are upgrading, an additional "patch" file will be released sometime late Monday. Some of the databases have changed slightly, and some modifications to them are necessary for your current databases to be compatible. This patch file should take care of most of the upgrade worries. A small number of changes will need to be done manually by you, with complete instructions provided.
